Hi, my name is Cherissa Johnson. I’m a mother of three, wife, and full-time content creator. I wear many hats and often feel like I’m juggling bowling pins. It can be tough to manage it all, but I’ve learned some tricks that help me keep my head above water.
One of the biggest challenges I face is time management. I must be very deliberate about how I spend my time, or I’ll quickly be overwhelmed. I start each day by making a list of things that need to be done. I try to prioritize the most critical tasks and get those done first.
Virtual assistants help me with things like social media and marketing. I’ve also found it helpful to outsource some of my work. This frees up my time to focus on other things, like spending time with my family.
The Three “Little Ones”
I have three kids: Winter (3 yrs old), Kansas (4 yrs old), and Genesis (7 yrs old).
Many think that caring for three kids must be chaotic and stressful. And, don’t get me wrong, it can be both of those things. But it can also be enjoyable and rewarding.
I’m constantly moving, chasing after a Winter and Kansas, or playing with Genesis. And there’s always something going on, whether it’s a birthday party or a soccer game. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. Because when I see my kids laughing and playing together, it makes all the chaos worth it.
Married Life
Being a wife with three kids is a lot of work, but it’s also a lot of fun. I’m always busy, and I couldn’t be happier. I love being able to see my kids grow and learn every day. My husband and I are always laughing and joking, even though we’re both exhausted at the end of the day. We’re always trying new ways to make our family life more enjoyable. It’s not always easy, but it’s worth it.
In any relationship, communication is critical. But in a marriage, it is especially important to keep the lines of communication open. That doesn’t mean that you have to agree on everything, but it does mean that you need to be able to discuss your differences honestly and openly.
Additionally, it’s essential to make time for each other, even when life gets busy. Schedule regular date nights, even if it’s just a night in with take-out and a movie.
Content Creation
Being a full-time content creator can be both exhilarating and exhausting. On the one hand, it’s exciting to have the freedom to create whatever you want and to know that your work is being seen by people worldwide.
On the other hand, it can be tough to keep coming up with new ideas and always be ‘on’ in creating and promoting your work. There is also a lot of pressure to constantly create new content and ensure it’s good enough to stand out in a sea of other creators.
But overall, it’s a hugely rewarding experience to share your creativity with the world.
The Bottom Line
It is not always easy, but I have learned to juggle it all. By being deliberate about my time, outsourcing some of my work, and staying organized, I have built a successful business while raising a family. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
